Payment Details: -
A deposit of 25% is required to confirm the
booking; this will normally be paid by Credit/Debit Card. Should you wish
to pay the deposit by cheque we will hold the provisional booking for
three days. On payment of the deposit we will confirm the booking by E-Mail
or letter and indicate the balance due and date it is required. The balance
must be paid at least 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
If the holiday commences within 6 weeks of making the booking the full
balance is due at the time of booking.

When you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us.
Please read the terms and conditions of booking.
1. Prices:
The
property provides accommodation for a maximum of four (4) adults. By
arrangement a cot and/or a temporary bed may be provided for a small
child. The number of people occupying the property will not exceed the
number stated at the time of booking.
The price of the accommodation includes bed linen, towels and electricity.
2. Pets:
Pets are not allowed in this accommodation.
3. Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted in this accommodation.
4. Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement
is a legal contract. Should you find it necessary to cancel your holiday,
we will endeavour to re-let the cottage and any monies paid will be returned
less a £25 administration charge. In the unfortunate event of the
cottage not being re-let, you will be liable for the full cost of the
cottage rental, whether or not you have paid the balance. I would therefore
advise that you obtain suitable insurance to cover such unforeseen circumstances
at the time of booking.
5. Non-Availability of accommodation:
Should
we have to cancel your reservation for any reason, we shall only be
liable for refunding the amount paid and our liability would not extend
beyond this refund.
6. Arrival/Departure:
Your accommodation will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please do not
arrive earlier as we will be servicing the accommodation and not available
to welcome you.
Please vacate the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure and try
to leave it as clean as possible. Any delay in departure will prevent
the accommodation from being fully serviced for our next guests.
7. Damaged and Breakages:
Please take care with our property. We accept
that accidents can happen, but you are responsible and liable for breakages
or damage that you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please
report these as soon as they occur in order that they can be rectified
with minimal inconvenience to our next guests. We would not normally charge
for minor breakages, but we reserve the right to charge you for any significant
breakage or damage, especially if you fail to notify us prior to leaving.
8. Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage,
loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicle or possessions,
unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
9. Data:
Any data collected during the course of this
booking may be kept on computer.
We look forward to your arrival at Sycamore Barn and hope you find the
accommodation meets with your satisfaction; we have tried to fulfil the
requirements of visitors to this part of the Lake District National Park.
Although we live in close proximity we shall respect your privacy and
hope you will treat the accommodation as your home for the duration of
your stay.
